Sangeeta

From Business Excellence department, we have Ms Sangeeta Devi. She will be joining the 10 km race. Her vision in life is “To have a successful career & at the same time have a good family”. In short, she wants to have a balance in both her career and personal life.

Q : Have you joined any kind of marathon before?

No I’ve never joined any marathon before this. But during school days, I was an athlete for short distance run and I also represented my college for Masum (Majlis Sukan Universiti Malaysia) for hockey but I’m no longer involved in the athletic games.

Q : Why did you stopped?

Well, since I started working I couldn’t find players to play together and also the time constraint. But in Jan 2009, I started going to the gym and yoga but I stopped in March. (laughing)

Q : Have you started your taining?

I go for futsal every weekend and it’s a mixture of guys and girls during the game.
Not an all girls team. (laughing) and I hope to start on my real training soon.

Q : Did you attend any clinics offered by Standard Chartered?

No. I signed up for the 1st clinic but didn’t manage to go as I had an emergency.

Q : What is your target / objective for this marathon?

My target is just to finish the race.

Q : Are you excited about the race?

Yes of course. I’m really looking forward to it.

Q : Do you have anything to say to your competitors?

We will do our best together.
